Building Better Youth, Better Businesses and a Better South Carolina
In my youth, I was a signed recording artist (rapper) in Miami Florida. When it was time for me to be a father, I left the "Game" (Music Business), and moved to South Carolina.
I had to start fresh and learn how to navigate through real life. Through business mentors, I was able to learn skills that allowed me to build a productive life and become a productive citizen.
The skills I gained were the power of salesmanship, self-motivation and giving peak performance, from my mentors Richard and Michael Gibson.
I was taught the value of customer service and exceeding customer expectations, the value of perceptions and teamwork, as a team leader for a division of SCANA Corporation.
I was able to master telephone engagements with the ultimate difficult customer as a 911 emergency service telecommunicator for Columbia-Richland Communications.
Through my mentors, I was able to get a well-rounded foundation. I credit others for seeing in me what I did not see within myself. My mentors provided direction, encouragement and helped me gain confidence in other areas of my life. Now it is time for us to help our young people find and build a strong foundation based on their natural talents. We must help them build a positive vision for themselves and a better South Carolina.
